The Resort

The Sierra Nevada Ski Resort is located in the heart of the Sierra Nevada National Park, between the municipalities of Monachil and Dílar, in the region of Andalucía, Spain. It is the southernmost ski resort in Europe, which is due to its high altitude, despite its proximity to the sea.
Sierra Nevada is one of the most famous and popular ski resorts in Spain. The ski area is extensive and offers magnificent experiences for all types of skiing and snowboarding. It has play areas for children and an area for beginners with several ski and snowboard schools on site, which is why it is very popular for family holidays. In the highest area, there are more technically demanding slopes, ideal for experienced skiers and snowboarders. In the town of Pradollano, at the base of the resort, there is a huge range of hotels, restaurants and après-ski terraces. The proximity to the city of Granada is another advantage that increases the range of accommodation options.
